Reliance avoids the Red Sea in its gasoline supplies to Europe.

Even though the Suez Canal is the quickest route between Asia and Europe, gasoline producers worldwide are avoiding the Red Sea and circumnavigating Africa to avoid Houthi attacks by Iran-aligned groups.

Primarily on a deliverable basis, Reliance, the owner of the largest refining facility globally, provides diesel and jet fuel to Europe.

Since mid-February, at least eight tankers have used the Cape of Good Hope route to deliver diesel and jet fuel to Europe, according to LSEG data.

Hafina Yangtze, Dimitri, Sabrina Glory, Arisarchos, Atalantic Gold, Marlin La Plata, and Neutron Sound were among the tankers.
